Emerging from the superb pedigree of its mature Crank 38 brothers, Atomic are happy to announce the arrival of the much anticipated Crank 38DD (Double Deep). With it’s sleek reformed shape and new bib, the Crank 38DD’s strength lies in its diversity to be used in many facets of lure fishing.

The Crank 38 DD features an increased bib size to give it the ability to dive deeper than its predecessors, without loosing it’s form and movement. This feature is ideal when targeting deep structures and areas that are holding schooled fish. Also this size increase reduces the chances of the lure becoming snagged as it’s ‘bumper bar effect’ comes into play when cranking around rocky, rubbly terrains. The angle of the working lure means it is able to bump over obstructions.

Being a self confessed crankbait junkie, my ‘go to’ lure in the past for majority of my fishing applications was the Crank 38 deep. But after numerous successes on the new crank 38DD my mindset has been shifted as this lure adds more dimension to my scope which can make the difference between a ‘looking’ fish and a ‘biting fish’.
